Therapeutic Approach
Relational and Process-Oriented Approach
We live in an age where we have plenty of information available to us about psychology, healing and growth. While these are helpful to some extent, I also notice that it has kept a lot of us thinking, and overanalysing our healing. Healing it turns out, requires more corrective experiences than mere insight and analysis. That is where relational and process-oriented therapy come into the picture.
What it means is that we don't just use the content and stories you bring into session but also create space and safety to access your unconscious; unfolding moment to moment in our session. Further, I facilitate safely exploring how we relate to each other in session as a way to contact your deepest wounds and fears. I lend myself to our work fully and am open to being impacted by you which I believe is scared, deep and experiential rather than insight oriented.
I use a trauma-focused approach that sees your symptoms as survival strategies that once served a purpose. In our work, I focus on Safety, Trust, Transparency, Choice, Collaboration and Empowerment.
Transactional Analysis
In my work with clients and for my own growth and development as a person, I use a psychotherapy modality called Transactional Analysis. It is a powerful theory of personality that helps us identify and change self-limiting ways of thinking, feeling and behaving, so we can move towards our fullest self.
